Great meeting today in Green Bay…I think one of our largest groups with 15 in attendance! Many thanks to Cindy Esterling for her accommodations…she had to pull out the extra chairs from her back closet!
Our presenter today was MarciAnne Leleinski from Kerber Rose…all refreshed from the close of the recent tax season, MarciAnne shared a passionate story of how she grew her successful bookkeeping and payroll business and then merged into Kerber Rose. The past season was longer than usual with the growing pains inflicted by the ACA reporting requirements. Marci and her staff handle a large number of accounts and have capacity to grow. Her goal is to be the premier payroll service offering in the Fox Valley area. She also shared a bit of news about the upcoming changes to Salaried – Exempt requirements under the FLSA. See her summary in Past Presentations.
More on this to come this fall as the regs are finalized…we will assemble a panel to present to our group.
Family Business Summit – Rob Holton mentioned this event which will be co-sponsored by Cleary Gull, held in Milwaukee on Thursday June 2, 2016 from 7:30 – 11:30 am. A national keynote speaker will be combined with a family business panel discussing their evolution and trials/tribulations of being a family business. The event is well attended…I attended last year and found it educational and enlightening. Further details here.
