Update from Milwaukee Meeting – 1/18/17

We had 11 members attend with no new members for this month. Just a reminder to extend the invitation to other professional service providers you feel may benefit from our group.

Our initial presentation by Jenna Engel of JUL Creative was met with very good reviews as she discussed the importance of considering digital marketing in the overall marketing mix. She detailed the idea of a “prospect profile” as a method to hone a firm’s marketing message and specifically target different segments of prospects. Jenna led the group on a process of moving from prospect profile to major issues to questions they may use for search terms. Using those search terms, and measuring ongoing response, can help build a digital marketing campaign. Anyone seeking more information can research more at: https://www.julcreative.com/

Jenna Engel is also open to the idea of presenting to each of the other chapter meetings if there was an interest.

Future Presentations:

Feb. 15th : Chris Larsen, Cleary Gull Inc., on the Merger and Acquisition Market
March 15th : Marie Venne, Enpoint Solutions, on Politics and Reality on XL Pipeline
April 19th : Open

Other Events:

Tuesday, February 14th: Turnaround Management Association, Milwaukee Breakfast Program from 7:30 to 9 AM at the Hilton Garden Inn. More info: https://turnaround.org/chicagomidwest/events

Update from Appleton Meeting – 1/24/2017

Update from Steve Krueger, Appleton Chapter:

“Very nice January morning (temperature wise) for a PNW meeting with 11 attendees.

Question of the month was how you/your company uses social media for marketing (Twitter, LinkedIn, FaceBook, YouTube, Blogs):
Many comments on using LinkedIn for researching companies, individuals history/connects. Few comments on YouTube, FaceBook and Twitter. Blogs were popular to establish subject matter expert at the company level to drive new opportunities to the company. Don Herrmann seemed to have the best success driving new business through the use of blogs and LinkedIn to drive traffic to his website for new business. Overall a great discussion on how social media or how social media has not impacted our personal business profile and company profile for generating business.

Zach Kaiser from McClone shared with us how there process is different in the insurance marketspace for business and the impact that has had in reduced loss claims, increased client satisfaction, etc. Four key lines McClone provides include: Benefits, 401k, Property and Casualty, Human Resources

Update from Green Bay Meeting – 1/10/17

From Don Noskowiak, Green Bay Chapter Leader:

“Well as fate would have it, the first big snow of the year hit on our first meeting of the year…thanks to the 8 brave souls that were able to make it. Yours truly almost had to call in a rain check, it was tough sledding!

Thanks to Justin Spettel for giving us a view into his new role as President and Co-Owner of Bayland Insurance. Justin and Bayland focus primarily on the commercial markets, serving businesses within many industries and specializing in construction and manufacturing, generally serving companies with 20 or more employees. Of particular significance is their affiliation with SIAA, an insurance wholesale conglomerate that affords their customers with volume purchasing rates. Justin says its a “buyers” market for insurance…given his passion and thoroughness for serving his prospects and customers, Justin offers his complimentary assessment of risk and coverage needs!
